Tips before starting

Yoga is practiced barefoot (or with socks) and on a mat. You will need comfortable and flexible clothing that allows you to move freely. Remove any rings, watches, pendants, etc., even if you are going to do simple movements and postures. In addition to the mat, some classes use straps, blocks, blankets, or even a chair.

Practice calmly and with awareness of your breath. Each inhalation and exhalation marks the times in each posture and will help us follow the dynamics of the movement. Try to be constant, regular practice and repetition of asanas will be key in your learning.

Avoid comparing yourself with others. If you are not very flexible, you will regain that flexibility from childhood that we lose with a sedentary lifestyle. If you are hyperlax, you will find support points that ensure your movements. If you are a runner or practice active sports, you will find asanas that are very suitable for stretching your muscles. It is important that you explore to find yourself in your practice and observe your evolution.
