Step 2: Access the Alexa App

  • Open the Alexa App on your smartphone or tablet. If you haven't already, download the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  • Sign in with your Amazon account credentials.

Step 3: Change Wi-Fi Settings for Alexa

  • In the Alexa app, tap on the Devices tab (house icon) at the bottom of the screen.
  • Select your Alexa device (e.g., Echo, Echo Dot) from the list.
  • Tap on Wi-Fi Network under the Device Settings section.
  • Choose Change next to the Wi-Fi Network option.

Step 4: Connect Alexa to the New Wi-Fi Network

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to put your Alexa device in Setup Mode. For most devices, press and hold the Action button (dot icon) for five seconds. The light ring on the device will turn orange, indicating it's in Setup Mode.
  • Return to the Alexa app and tap Continue.
  • Select your new Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password when prompted.
  • Wait for the app to confirm that your Alexa device is connected to the new Wi-Fi network. The light ring on your device will turn blue, indicating it's connected.

Step 5: Test Your Alexa Device

  • Give your Alexa device a voice command, such as "Alexa, what's the weather like today?" If the device responds correctly, the reconnection process is complete.

That's it! Your Alexa device should now be successfully connected to your new Xfinity internet connection. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, consult the Amazon Alexa Help Center or contact Amazon's customer support.
